Meet the Staff at Saint Luke Center, Louisville
Emily Cash, Psy.D., director of Saint Luke Center, is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky and Maryland, and an adjunct member of the clinical services department at Saint Luke Institute. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Kentucky and completed her doctoral training in a community mental health setting in New York City. From 2006-2010, she was on staff in the residential treatment program at Saint Luke Institute before returning to Kentucky to open Saint Luke Center. Her clinical services include individual and group therapy, psychological evaluation and assessment and teaching psycho-educational groups and workshops geared towards mental health and well-being.
Jane Becker, OSB, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky and Indiana, and a member of the Sisters of St. Benedictine in Ferdinand, IN. She served many years as staff psychologist at St. Meinrad Seminary and at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. She also was on staff of Saint Luke Institute for several years. A former director of formation for her community, she has provided a variety of workshops and consultations to other religious communities. Her clinical services include individual and group therapy, psychological assessment, and workshops in transition, community life and communication. She completed her doctoral studies in clinical psychology at St. Louis University.
Reverend Robert Ray, M.Div., completed his theological studies at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD, prior to his ordination in 1969. He has served in a variety of ministries, including parishes, retreat work with high school youth, college campus ministry, priest review and continuing education for clergy. He served on the staff at St. Meinrad School of Theology for ten years, and undertook spiritual direction training at the Institute for Spiritual Leadership in Chicago. He also participated in a two-year spiritual direction practicum offered by the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Spirituality. Fr. Bob currently is a pastor; spiritual director with lay, religious and priests; and retreat leader with parish councils, parish staffs and men’s and women’s groups.
Reverend Paul Scaglione, M.Div., is a priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville. He attended Mount Saint Paul Seminary in Wisconsin and Saint Meinrad School of Theology prior to his ordination in New Jersey. He has extensive experience as a spiritual director and pastor, including ten years as spiritual director for the School of Theology at Saint Meinrad Seminary. He also directed the Office of Pastoral Care for the Archdiocese of Louisville for 11 years and is a member of the archdiocese’s Sexual Abuse Review Board. He received training at the Institute for Spiritual Leadership in Chicago and is an active member of Spiritual Directors International. Fr. Scaglione provides directed retreats, workshops on spirituality and parish missions, and is experienced in outreach with victims of sexual abuse.
Sam Stodghill, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky. He received his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Spalding University. Before joining the staff of Saint Luke Center, Dr. Stodghill was clinical coordinator for REACH, a community-based social service agency. His experience includes work in children/family residential treatment and foster care settings. His clinical interests include functional assessment and behavior support consultation and program planning and evaluation. He is an active member of the Kentucky Psychological Association and currently serves as a member of the KPA Board as the Jefferson region representative.
